The Awesome Concepts of Learning to Code

original_image1

Some of the concepts that I have learned throughout the process of coding! Sometimes you make mistakes and you have to return to previous lessons to find the right answer that you are looking for to complete the code.

These are the types of coding that I have worked on and still continue to work on because I find it interesting and rewarding.

  1. Ruby
  2. jQuery
  3. JavaScript
  4. Python Syntax
  5. HTML
  6. CSS

The concepts that I have learned

Learning how to code is something that will take a while because of the complexity of the lessons and words that are used within the codes that you are learning. However, you can learn the way that you want to by using what you are learning in certain things that you do within a website, blog, apps or anything else that you wish. Of course, you have to talk about the things that you have learned and brag about the accomplishments of learning something new.

Learning Ruby

I recently started this today because I wanted to know what it was about just like the other coding lessons. I have found that it is simple starting out and I know that it will progress as you go along throughout the exercises. The first thing that you learn in these exercises is how to use my_name, and how you can spell your name in a variety of ways.

  1. reverse
  2. upcase
  3. downcase

Coding involves many other things that you did not know about that is involved with coding. It is quite simple when you sit down and read the instructions that are provided so that you know exactly what to do. If you get stuck on a question or lesson you can always go to the forums to see if someone has had the same issue with their code.

The Difference in your Blog Posts

The recent coding concepts that I have learned I find myself using them instead of writing a blog post the normal way. I think that it is neat that you can use this information to make your blog post look different than a normal post.

I find that I use these in my current posts for my blog because it is neat to build your own blog posts with HTML. Although I am still working on how to input the other things that I have learned but for right now I am working on the basics. It will all come together in the end.

By looking at earlier posts on my blog I have found that the difference is amazing to how the outlining of my blog is perceived. You can also see how readable your blog is and you can change the style, colors, and many other things just by learning what type of code to put in your post as long as you know how to code.

The h1, h2, and so on

I have to admit that I have seen this type of coding before but had no idea of what it did until now. I have enjoyed learning about coding and hope to pursue the learning into other coding techniques.

I hope that you have enjoyed my post about my adventure of learning how to code because there will be more to follow in the upcoming months.

The Art of Learning How to Code

This type of information is interesting to learn! I have enjoyed learning about code. You know once you get the hang of doing the information it is not that hard after you have done it a few hundred times. Throughout the whole process of learning this new information I have come across some issues that I did not understand. However, by looking at examples, and checking out the forum for the same exact problem it dawns on you where you made a mistake.

Using www.codecademy.com has turned out to be an experience that allows you to work on the information at your speed. It is interesting how the information finally comes together when you are finished putting in the material that you want showcased on your website.

By learning how to code I can take what I have learned and put it towards making my website, blog or anything else look better than it does right now. Making it easier for reader’s that come to my blog find the information that they want.

Learning Something About Coding to Teach The Children

clip_image001

You know this is something that I ran across on Facebook and thought that I would see what my children are missing out of their curriculum. Computer science should be a part of any child’s curriculum because it gives them a different outlook on the way that their games, apps, and websites are made up.

Yes! I have a Master’s Degree but decided to give this a try because it was something that I did not know about, and in order to teach the children about coding I have to know what to tell them so if they run into a problem while doing this I will be able to point them in the right direction. Like a mother would do to make sure that they understand the concepts they will learn when they take this course.

I can honestly say that this was a different experience and something that I rather enjoyed learning how to do. Coding is rather simple as long as you put the right commands in the right place so that you get the outcome you are seeking.

Learning to code

Yes! This program is for K-8 however if you do not know anything about coding this is a good place to start along with www.codecademy.com I have to say that in the process of learning these materials it has enlightened my thoughts about coding. The things that you can do with coding to make your website, blog or anything else work the way that you want it to.

Recently I have learned about the webmaster tools through Google, Bing, and Yahoo and how you can use them to your advantage and where you are ranked within the search engines. This opens a wide range of tools at your disposal so that you can keep track of the many issues your website, blog or anything else has.

Maybe, with the things that I have learned and pass onto my children they will want to learn more about coding. Develop their own apps or make something that will be useful to others around the world.

The learning does not stop and learning something new is a step that everyone should take. I love learning and enjoy learning about different things. Being a homeschool parent you have to take the time to learn other things so that you can teach your children what you have learned.

Thanks to www.codecademy.com and www.code.org I will enjoy teaching the children the steps that they need to take and the language that they will use to build their own apps, website or whatever they would like to create.
