Carroll County School on Lockdown

Interesting news!!!! Seems like there is always something happening at our public schools these days.


WASHINGTON (WNEW) — South Carroll High School in Carroll County is on lockdown after public school officials received a “non-specific threat” in the building shortly after 2:00 p.m.

Law enforcement officers from the Carroll County Sheriff’s Office, Maryland State Police, and Sykesville Police Department have responded to the scene and are currently investigating the incident.

Students are being told they must remain in the school and parents have been alerted by school officials that they could be in school until at least 5:00 p.m.

No injuries have been reported, and students are expected to be released after the elementary and middle school bus routes have been completed.
